Christ and Antichrist

The trilogy "Christ and the Antichrist" occupies a central place in the work of the outstanding Russian writer, historian and philosopher D.S. Merezhkovsky. In the novels, the heroes of which are indisputably significant historical figures, the author expresses one of his main ideas: the eternal struggle between Christ and the Antichrist is exacerbated at the climax of history. The souls of the protagonists become the arena of this struggle, as well as the struggle between Christianity and paganism.
